I've always wondered about this flower. Street vendors in Taipei sell it at traffic lights and anywhere traffic comes to a standstill. People hang them from their rear view mirrors, they are white and they smell heavenly. What is this flower called? Can it be found in the U.S.?
Anyone out there from Taiwan? Do you know the white flower that taxi drivers hang from rear view mirrors?
Hello
From what I know, the flower is called "White champak" or "Michelia Alba" in English. It's very popular and widely available in Taiwan and other parts of Asia.
From some information I got, I think it's available in the U.S. but it's very hard to find.
Here are some websites

Reply:This is called Jasmine which smell like a nature perfume. Drivers usually put the flower close to the fan that can refresh himself. In old time, ladies put it in the clothe as a deodorant.
