I have a tree (very branchy, not too many leaves) the blossoms a white flower.?

Througout the day, the white flower will turn a fuschia color. By the end of the day, it's all fuschia colored. Flower seems to last only for that day then eventually falls off the tree. Does anyone know the name of the tree? Of the flower?

Sounds like dogwood. If the tree is very branchy to the point of not being able to be cut to make logs and doesn't grow very tall and is one of the first trees to flower in the Midwest along with the red bud. Am not 100% sure because don't know the region you are speaking of. The flowers are not especially large. The hibiscus flower is 5 times bigger and always a solid color.
Reply:I am curious...how tall is this tree and from what region? Any chance of getting a picture? My first though is hibiscus, but I have never encountered one that changes colors. What do the leaves look like and does it bloom all year or seasonally?
Reply:It sounds like either a Hibiscus or a Dogwood.
