i take 9th grade biology and the first person is right. its an example of incomplete dominance.



this is from my notes in bio:



Incomplete dominance occurs when both alleles are expressed; the heterozygous phenotype is somewhere in between the 2 homozygous phenotypes.

Ex. Japaneses 4 o'clock flowers

A red flower crossed with a white flower will result in..

Let RR= red and WW= white

100% RW which is 100% pink flowers



Codominance is what the second answerer said.

Codominance occurs when both alleles are expressed and they contribute to the phenotype.

Ex. Chicken feathers

A chicken with black feathers crossed with a chicken with white feathers will result in...

Let BB= black and WW= white

100% BW which is 100% "erminette" feathers (black and white speckled)
