Suggestion or ideas for a black and white wedding?

I am getting married in June. I am having a black and white wedding and my flowers are red roses. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?

The cake should be dramatic. Perhaps red velvet cake (it's cocoa flavored) with maybe black and white fondant. Deep red roses or just pedals could be just tossed on it. Very simple yet elegant. Candle light would be very suitable and add to the ambiance. White pears are also a great and dainty addition to dramatic black tie occasions. Think 1940's glamour.

Reply:I went to a black and white themed new years eve party and they had really nice centerpieces made of champagne glasses and martini glasses filled with black and white jelly beans with ribbons tied on the glass. It looked neat and was a nice snack when the dance started.

i've been to at least three weddings in the past year that had a black and white wedding, and it looks great! Having red roses is nice, but you could also look at white calic lillies for the girls, they look so pretty! Tables could have a tall square glass vase with long steam flowers, or i saw a couple that had a large fancy gold fish bowls for the center and have different fish in each. It adds a bit of colour and looks really pretty! Red and white wine for each table, have a picture of the bride and groom and the date on each label, or on a after eight chocolate bar. Looks really nice! Have all the tables in clear crisp white. Try adding silver to add different textures. Such as have a silver bow wrapping around the chairs, and have white, black and silver balloons.
Reply:I have been to a lot of these types of weddings and find them silly. But if you HAVE to do this put the kids in white and adults in black. I haven't seen that one yet.

Reply:My friend did this for her wedding, except she used fushia flowers....it looked so beautiful!! All groomsmen and bridesmaids wore black and the bride wore white. The flowers were all fushia and white.
