Need help redecorating my room...have a comforter in mind, orange blown up flower, some pink and white?

if anyone knows of this...its beautiful but i can't decide what paint color would work without it being too powerful...my room isnt that huge so i was thinking a calmer orange, peachy

any ideas?

I would go with the lightest, maybe a "tint" of a color - often times the paint shades are shown in whites with a tint of a color - they are very light but you want the comforter to be the focal point in your room - also if it is a small room the light color is the best choice - if you have the patience, and want to have a theme I would even do the walls in stripes, but with green involved - think outside and flower gardens. and then go to loews or home depot and get the little white picket fences they sell and run that above the trim on your wall around the walls of your room. Cute!
Reply:the orange would be excellent and so would the hot pink. i would use white trim and accessories....
Reply:maybe you could paint pink and orange flowers along the wall and keep the background white! Or maybe even stripes in the three colors!
Reply:Sure... I have a few ideas. I don't think I'd go with more orange... Even if you use a calmer orange that leans towards peach, the orange in the comforter will make the peach look orange... And you'll draw attention away from the comforter and in a bedroom, the bed is the focus of the room so you want to make the eye roam to the bed.



Here are the 3 colors I suggest, in order of which I think would look best:



1. A custard yellow with white trim



2. A soft lime green with white trim



3. A soft pastel pink with dark pink trim.

Reply:You would have to be so careful with going another shade of orange, I would bring home lots of paint chips or take the comforter to the paint store to be sure. I personally would paint the walls the same colour of white as in the comforter, then use the other colours in the bedding as accent colours. Hope this gives you something to think about and have fun with it
