Have you ever picked FLOWERS for your mother?

was it those weeds that come up in spring with the little white flowers on top....?



I have many times. oh good times.

Have you ever picked FLOWERS for your mother?
HA!I've picked them for my mom and my grandmother.Those same ones.Or those yellow looking things.Man.I knew someone who made those little rings with them you put on your head.the name escapes me.I was so jealous.I so wanted one of those.Good times!Good times!

Did you also sit and try to find for leaf clovers?Man if you found anything over 4 leaves you saved that in a book!Oh the good times!

But I also went through our garden and picked them...She was angry at first, but then I managed to make her feel bad enough that she said it was very sweet, but never do it again. lol.
Reply:Yes, like 20 years ago. When I was a kid I used to pick them in the backyard and then she would put them in a vase in the kitchen.

Reply:Yep i sure have and i still do lol,my mom makes me run around the neighborhood to steal everyones flowers,my friends mom made us both do this also,ive stolen every flower imaginable!

Reply:Yes. I brought her bouquets of daisies, dandelions and the little white flowers you mentioned. She always made me feel like I had given her the most precious gift any mother could ever want. Thank you for letting me enjoy that sweet memory of my mother.

Reply:I picked her some weeds once when I was a kid...she got mad because the roots were still in the ground and she didn't want them to sprout up again....=( i just thought they were pretty...=(
Reply:so many times. when i was younger i would always go to the ball games to watch my bros and pick flowers for my mom and tie them together with long pieces of grass lol!

Reply:Yes, lilacs, daisys, poppies, columbines, ahhh and the best....peonies.

They were all growing in her yard and I'd bring them in and make her kitchen brighter.

She died April 17, 2006.
Reply:dandalions i picked omg i had 4 acres of land, and i picked lots of them for my mother when i was younger.. and the sweet thing is, i had no idea they were weeds, but she always put them in water. lol

Reply:Many times. I guess because she always seemed so happy when I did. Even when they came out of her flower garden. One time I bought her 2 packs of "Forget me nots" for her to plant. She was so pleased, As usual. So every spring for the next 30 years I took her 2 packs of Forget me nots. This year I will take them to her grave to plant. I will never forget her smile.
