I have a completely white room and i need some inspiration. Can someone help?

I've already picked out my bedspread. It's also white, but it has three light, pastel-ish flowers on it in khaki, blue and pink with a few sage colored leaves. I also have a real rustic looking mirror that looks like a lot like a window pane--it has leather straps (one that runs horizontal and one that runs vertical) and then a big metal o's holding the leather straps in the center. I want to add something to my other walls, but I'm so burnt out on hanging picture frames and scones. I can't paint either since the walls are stuco and I'm renting. It'd be too hard to cover up when I move into my condo.

I once put scones on my wall and filled them with water and put chinese fighting fish in them, so I'm up for anything.. I just need some help--my creativity if lacking. Thanks!

Also, my room is not square, and it's pretty small, so my bed has to go in the corner-yuck!

If you are tired of the boring plane jane walls try something like this....if your mirror looks like window panes try getting a rustic looking door. If you get one with panels (squares or rectangles are best) you can place pictures in the squares. Make sure the door is a color-I would go for the blue color. Then lean it against your wall, or you could even get two or three doors and make like a screen with them. You can use them to hold pictures or you can have them hold a plant or just leave them plane.

Another idea is to hang fabric in a color that you like on the wall. You can starch it with regular starch and then iron it to the wall or if that makes you nervous you can tack it to the wall. If you hang it right you can hardly tell it is fabric.

Hope this helps!
Reply:Peter does.
Reply:How about some rugs and matts on the floor? You can pick them up pretty cheaply if you look around. This is especially helpful if you have an ugly floor! You could also look out for some remnants of fabric to hem and hang as wall panels.

This stuff you can take with you when you leave which means you have some things for your next place too! Also look out for knick knacks like picture frames and ornaments which you can take with you. How about a large vase with dried grasses or ornamental willow twigs? Looks very posh for cheap.
Reply:You could hang drapes around the room in the sage color. You could hang a netting down over the bed. Add a large fake tree in a corner with a light in it or us white Christmas lights on it. On one of my walls I have a large wreath with a photo of a loved one in the middle. You could also do some shelving on a wall with ornaments to your taste. Check out some fancy lights to hand from the ceiling or walls
Reply:you can paint stuco,... i have done it... maybe just paint 1 wall which would add a lot to the room....

or you could get some 2x4;s that will reach the roof... nail them to the celling joist... and nail them to the floor.. hang sheet rock and cover the stuco up... with a fake wall...and paint that... when you move.. it would be only a matter of pulling out the nails and leaving...

there are lots of things you can do.... OR.,.

wait a few weeks and let is come to you.. some times the answer to a room problem will come when you are outside or at the store..

with the fake wall you could also do a cut in and do some can lights to one wall.. those are always fun to build and easy to do..
Reply:here is something I have done in a couple of my rooms. I went to The Dollar Store and bought some matching vines with flowers on them. they usually have a good variety of flowered vines. Anyway.starting at a window or doorway drape the vines across your wall, you can use straight pins to hold them to the way being they aren't very heavy. you could even have then coming from an existing sconce or even from your mirror or anything you have on your wall. You will be surprised what you come up with. Have Fun!!!!!!!
Reply:if this is a place you plan on staying a while, don't hesitate to paint the walls, just make sure they can be covered up. if you're going for a naturalist look, i would paint the walls a nice light camel color. then i would get silk flowers in colors that i like and cut the stems off and use sticky taffy to stick the petals to the walls in random patterns. then i would hang a netting over the bed and loop ivy and more flowers thru it. then i would get pillows in a bright color along the same tones as the flowers and put them on the bed.
