Gerbra Daisies are inexpensive and would look lovely with black and white.
Im getting married in June, Im not sure what type of flowers i should use..colors are blk and white!?
I am also a June to be bride with black, white, and light pink as my colors. We will be using white roses and white hydrangeas for my bouquet...and the guys will wear white roses. (Bridesmaids are using the pink version of mine, but you aren't using pink so it doesn't matter)

We are actually getting ours from a wholesale company for a great price. These 2 flowers are great prices in June! Wrap the stems in black ribbon or tulle...they will look great! You can also add touches of black pearls or stones to the bouquet.
Reply:Well mother nature doesnt do black so if you'll have to have black twigs thrown in to make it look darker.
You can have those "Black Magic" or "Jackie Kennedy" roses those are so red they're almost black!
Reply:If your wedding colors are simple black and white, you have a ton of floral choices.

Reply:White roses would be perfect. However, my wedding was black and white as well, but I used small accents of green and pink in our flowers and favors. It was beautiful. Anything goes with black and white, so any color flower or any type would look lovely. Roses will be plentiful in June so that's always a good option.
I went with white roses and cream hydrangeas with a green ribbon hand tied around it.
Best of luck!
Reply:you can pick up a color for contrast in your bouquets. Red is always a beautiful choice against black/white.
Also, pick hearty flowers that don't wilt easily. Roses are always a good choice. but you may want to stay away from more delicate blooms like sweet peas.
Reply:Personally, I would choose pink. Carnations are inexpensive, last a long time, and smell wonderful. You can usually buy them in bulk from a florist and just hand tie with ribbon. They are available year round.
Talk to a florist, however. There are times of the year when roses are really inexpensive, also.
Reply:Well, roses are in season then, so they should be cheaper and with a black and white wedding you can do anything!!! Red flowers (roses, gerber daisies, lilies) would look stunning! But you can also get away with a lot of bright pinks (also roses and gerber daisies,--fressia, Alstrameria(sp?) lilies--small inexpensive and last forever--regular pink daisies, stargazer lilies-also inexpensive and last forever) there are also carnations and hydrangea are in season around then as well and you can get blue, white or pink.
Reply:for black and white...you can choose any cloured flower or you can have more than just one colour ...do you have a favorite flower you like? why not have your favorite?
Reply:oh red roses would look wonderful with that theme.....but they would be expensive....so im thinking maybe a yellow daisy or a tullip.....
i think a bright yellow flower would look beautiful in a black and white theme

maybe like the flower on the site above!
Reply:this mght be surprising - but I LOVE carnations! you don't see them used often, but if you do a round bouquet, they have such a unique texture that it gives a very interesting look. Anyway - here are some more black and white:

Reply:Red or pink roses would be very pretty and affordable, but they are kind of standard.
Hot pink gerbers would be cute and fun:

Red tulips would be elegant:

Reply:I bought my (fake) flowers at a Michaels store. They had the bouquet already made up. They took out the flowers that I didnt like and replaced them with flowers and ribbon that were my colors. It cost me around $20(for my bouquet)... I bought flowers to match and made up the rest for my bridal party. White roses would be pretty with some little hint of a contrast color.......GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! %26amp; congrats!!!
Reply:If you want to stick strictly to the black and white theme what about some white flowers? e.g. white roses, lisianthas, etc.
You could add some colour with green folage or leaves.
Otherwise red flowers might also look good...
Choose flowers that are in season to save you money (e.g. tulips look good but are no good in summer!)
If you're confident about making a posy yourself, try and find where the nearest wholesale flower market is to your place (where all the florists buy their flowers) and save heaps! If you're going to do this, make sure you choose hardy flowers. Roses are a good choice because you can just spritz them with water throughout the day to keep them fresh, without wilting them (some flowers hate being spritzed with water after they've been picked). You can just clump them into a bunch and tie them with a pretty ribbon.
