Hi on my patio plants for the first time I see white ants all over my plants?

They look like ants but they are white in color they are all over my flowers and leaves what do I do ? I also see white dust sticking to my leaves maybe eggs of these ants.

I also notice some clear webs on my leaves.

Two of my plants die this week is it because of this ?

Please advice how to protect my plants.

Go to walmart or anywhere for that matter and pick up some Sevin dust. Dust the plants and they should disappear within a few days.
Reply:you can take them in the shower with you or spray them with a mild detergent and warm water. or pick them off with a q-tip dipped in alcohol- tedious!
Reply:Those are plant lice, or Spider mites!!

We just call them plant lice, easier to remember!

They are common in greenhouses, and in gardens everywhere!
Reply:Sounds like aphids. Buy ladybugs (no joke) at a better nursery. Works for us.

White dust different....whitefly. They are not the white bugs you see; whitefly almost invisible so small. Wash with mild soapy water, also some products available like a plant food....dilute and pour onto roots. Takes time but works well.
