How do I make the backround of a picture Black & White, and keep the foreground in colour using Photoshop?

I have a particular picture which has yellow flowers in the foreground and mountains and sky in the backround, see it at: www.mick75.deviantart.com (then click on "Yellow Flowers")

I want the backround to be Black %26amp; White and keep the flowers their origional colour. Can this be done with Photoshop and How?

Yes it can be done in Photoshop. here is how:



1) Cut out the flower or the back ground using a lasso tool.

2) Put them on separate layers

3) Change the color mode or adjust the saturation for the background.
