My flower plant has white flies. How do i get rid of them?
The problem is white-fly have waxy larva. Several treatments with diluted dish soap in a spray bottle will help.
Reply:spray with liquid garlic
Reply:If you are want to use something safer than pesticides, soapy water will work. I use it sometimes when I need to spot treat small infestations.

The problem with soapy water is I don’t think it will kill all stages of white fly, only the adult stage. That means you will need to treat the plant about every three or four days for a couple weeks to kill the two or three generations you might have on your plant.
Reply:Hi! You need to buy a fungicide and repellent to get rid of them or they'll eat all your flowers' petals and leaves. So be careful. Use gloves to do it and a mask.Ask the store for the best repellent against insects.

So, I wish you luck.
Reply:mix soap (not detergent) and water in a spray bottle. spray the underside of the leaves daily until they are gone. it will dehydrate them. put dryer sheets around the base of the plant and it will keep them away.
Reply:fungicides would be a waste of time since they kill fungus, not insects.

is this an indoor plant? quite often bringing a new plant into the home from a greenhouse will introduce whiteflies.

you can rinse them off in the shower, or in the sink with the spray attachment.

something i have found that works well is to start a sweet potato vine and grow it near the affected ornamental plants. the flies FLOCK to the vegetable or fruit plant, and if you don't care much about it, you can rinse it off until you are rid of the flies then toss it out.
