I planted some black-eyed susan flowers about 45 days ago and for some reason there is a white powdery looking mold or fungus on the leaves. What would cause this? Not enough sun, too much rain? Any ideas?
Mold or fungus on my Black-eyed Susuan Flowers?
powdery mildew. Usually from too much rain and heat or too little air circulation.
You could apply an antifungal like daconil for this. Follow label instructions.
Reply:Black eyed susans are famous for this. I gave up, and took mine out.
Reply:spray every 10 days with cygon a high yield product
Reply:It could also be from cooler nights. Our temps have changed here in our state and the nights are in the 60's. We have started clearing out our gardens and getting ready for Fall.
